I. Love. Florence. That's all for this post... Just kidding :) But seriously, it's the greatest ever. So beautiful, chill, relaxing, it doesn't even seem like a real city, with the cobblestone streets and lack of skyscrapers and all. It's just so awesome.
So today I slept in to 930, and toured the streets and shops of Florence until noon. Kimbra found these adorable shoes for only 14 euro! I just got some gelato and almost bought a mask but didn't.
Then it was time for our business visit at Pierrotucci! They specialize in leather - handbags, wallets, jackets, trashcans, you name it. We went back to the factory and saw how the handbags and such were made - so much work goes into them! They're all handmade and have just the most gorgeous workmanship. I really wanted a nice wallet, but the cheapest one was like 80 euro so I settled for a small coin purse. I figured I can get super cheap knock-offs in China anyway :)

After that we basically just explored Florence some more. We shopped at the 99 cent store where I bought like 3 huge waterbottles (it is so hot here and I am always thristy!) and ate at this really nice Italian restaurant where I got penne pasta with shrimp and bruschetta. SO good. We all tried everyone else's food and it was all delicious. I'd recommend the tortolleni :)

After getting some more gelato (coconut and chocolate is the best combination!) and walking around some more, I was finally tired enough to go back to the hotel. Tomorrow should be a really great day - we're seeing the statue of David and it's also Emily's birthday! Partay!
